Our mantra is one of ‘high expectation’ of everyone. We set targets from the start that are highly aspirational to stretch and challenge our students. Alongside that however, we teach them to embrace challenges and be resilient in the face of the inevitable anxieties and setbacks that come with learning new skills and knowledge. We believe that the intelligence of a child is not fixed but can be developed and grown.
Examination outcomes in Key Stage 4 and Post 16 are improving. The number of student’s achieving 5 A*-C grades in 2015 was the best the Academy has ever had and the highest in the locality. Further improvements will continue as successive intakes benefit from this approach we are now taking.
