BCHS has made significant strides forward over the last four-years. Our new school building is located in the heart of our community, with superb facilities for all of our learners. We are now well placed to move forward to the next level.
We have strong links with the local community, which we are keen should be maintained in the coming years. We recognise the rich and diverse cultural heritage of the children at the school and we hope the successful applicant will be able to help to bring this to the fore.
The school shares the site with Crosshill, a school for students with moderate learning difficulties. The school works closely with a number of Primary partners, as well as being a founder member of the Blackburn with Darwen Education Improvement Partnership, a private company limited by guarantee, established to enable schools to work together on improvement priorities and gain maximum benefit from shared services. The school is in close proximity to the Audley Campus which includes provision for Nursery, Infant and Junior children.
Both the governors and staff are ambitious for the school and care very deeply about providing the very best opportunities for the children at the school. We are striving for our realistic ambition of achieving outstanding within the next two years.
