King Arthur’s is a small 11-16 secondary school (381 students) with big ambitions. The school is truly comprehensive and it is our aim to serve the needs of students of all abilities and backgrounds. King Arthur’s has a longstanding reputation as a caring school and our vision clearly states that we want for our students to be successful but also to achieve a sense of fulfilment and happiness; we believe this is brought about through taking pride in our efforts,  caring for others, a sense of belonging and contributing to our community.

King Arthur’s serves a wide and socially diverse catchment area. The school is in the process of exploring membership of a Multi Academy Trust developing rural excellence across South Somerset, as such, any roles within the school will be assumed to work across a developing MAT. We also work alongside our primary partners as members of the Tower Learning Community who collaborate closely to improve opportunities across this area of Somerset and have strong links with King’s School Bruton (independent school) to develop wider professional development opportunities. King Arthur’s has a good record of students progressing into further and higher education and we have strong links with local FE and 6th form providers.
